Carmelo Anthony Joins Isos Capital To Launch $750M Fund For Sports Investments

Carmelo Anthony is investing more in the sports industry as he seeks avenues to boost channels that will favor athletes in different industries in the sports business.

According to a press statement, the NBA icon has partnered with Michelle Wilson and George Barrios, the two owners of Isos Capital Management, to develop Isos7 Sports Investments.

Isos7 Sports Investments plans to invest $750 million in various North American, European, and pan-Asian sports leagues, teams, emerging properties, and auxiliary businesses.

The fund intends to give an amount ranging from $50 million to $100 million for each of its investments in the sports industry.

According to the news release, Anthony said, "I'm excited to build on my expertise as an athlete, entrepreneur, and investor and go to the next level of league and team ownership potential globally."

The press release also informs Isos7 Sports Investments plans to donate one percent of its profits to underrepresented and neglected areas.

"We anticipate sports assets will continue to benefit from global macro tailwinds and secular industry trends driving strong, predictable, and stable growth," said Barrios and Wilson. "We are overjoyed to be working with Carmelo, who has been a pioneer for athletes in the areas of philanthropy, business development, and investment. We have a common understanding of how a new group of investors from various backgrounds would recognize chances for global expansion and influence the market."
