Circle is a firm that develops peer-to-peer payment systems. It was started in October 2013 by Jeremy Allaire and Sean Neville. Circle Pay, the company's mobile payment platform, lets customers retain, transmit, and receive traditional fiat currency.

Troika IO's Redeem has partnered with Circle to improve its non-fungible token marketplace and API services (NFTs).

The company is best known for generating the USD Coin (USDC), a stablecoin backed by the US dollar. MoneyGram, Mastercard, and Plaid have joined with the startup to build its digital currency.
