Between August 2015 and August 2016, Hart earned a total of $90 million. Early Life and Education

Kevin Hart was born on July 6, 1979, to a single mother, Nancy Hart, in Philadelphia. His mother, Nancy worked as a systems analyst in the Office of Students Registration and Financial Services at the University of Pennsylvania. Hart and his older brother, Robert were both raised singly by their mother. Their father, Henry Witherspoon was a cocaine addict who had little time for family and spent most of his days shuffling in and out of jail.

Years later, Hart would build his comedy career sharing his experiences with his father and life in general. In a few of his stand-up acts, Hart mentioned his difficult relationship with his father. As a type of coping mechanism, Kevin developed a sense of humor to drown the intensity of his current realities, and as a way to take his family’s misfortunes off his mind. To date, Hart speaks well of his mother who died of cancer in 2006.

Hart attended George Washington High school to obtain his high school diploma. On graduating from high school, he attended Community College of Philadelphia for a short while, then moved to New York City. He eventually moved to Brockton, Massachusetts to work as a shoe salesman.

Kevin Hart officially began pursuing stand-up comedy after his first gig to perform at a night club in Philadelphia where he performed as an amateur. Like most stand-up comedians’ first performance, Hart’s performance went bad and he got booed a lot of times while on stage. A couple of shows later and Hart still got booed off the stage. He spent more time trying to be like his stand-up comedy role models, Chris Tucker and the likes. The 2011 and 2013 road tours were eventually featured in movie theaters. Laugh at My Pain became Hart’s best work yet, bringing in revenue of more than $15 million. It was also rated as of the top-selling comedy tours of 2011.

In 2015, Hart resumed his comedy world tour with the title What Now? The world tour was theatrically released by Universal Pictures in the US.

Asides building his career as a comedian and entertainer, Hart is also well-known for the humorous characters he plays in movies. The window of opportunity into acting opened up to Hart after he was invited on Comedy Central in specials for I’m a Grown Little Man and Seriously Funny. Some of his first movie gigs include The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Soul Plane, Little Fockers, etc. From then till date, Hart has featured in major movie deals, alongside one of his best buddies, Dwayne Johnson ‘D-Rock’. Personal Life

In 2003, Kevin Hart married fellow comedian, Torrie Hart. They were married for 7 years (2003- 2010) until their separation in 2010. Their divorce was finalized in November 2011. Their union produced two children, namely: Heaven Leigh (daughter), born March 22, 2005 and Hendrix, born in 2007 (son).

In 2016, Hart married Eniko Parish in California. Together, they have a son, Kenzo Kash (born November 21, 2017). They are also expecting a baby girl by the summer of 2020.
