Mecho is a Nigerian vehicle repair startup and they just raised $2.15 million

The startup industry in Nigeria is growing and Mecho is part of the story. The company recognized that Nigerians have a problem finding a reliable mechanic to fix their cars. As result, they decided to raise $2.15 from angel investors to start a vehicle repair and maintenance startup.

 

 

 Mecho raised a seed round fund from Future Africa, HoaQ Capital, Cathexis Ventures, V8 Capital, Silver Squid, and Tekedia Capital. Mecho was founded less than a year ago in April 2021, they provide service to customers through in-house and 3rd party service capacity. They have been tested and they have satisfied a lot of clients so far.  

 

Who founded Mecho Autotech?  Olusegun Owoade and Ayoola Akinkunmi both founded Mecho Authotech.

 

 

According to the founders, Mecho Autotech plans to use the funds to expand its multi-channel service capacity, engineering team, and B2C marketing budget. Mecho Autotech runs a digital platform that connects B2B and B2C customers with in-house and third-party mechanics.

·      Over 7,000 third-party mechanics on its platform

·      Three Mecho Shops across Lagos

·      Pre-purchase vehicle inspection services and provide a detailed report with recommendations

·      Vehicle servicing, auto-diagnosis for the censored parts of the vehicle, and physical inspection of the vehicle.

·      They do in house repairs and mobile repairs
