Patrick Mahomes' latest deal with Kansas City is rated as the biggest in history.

According to a report on July 6, it was revealed that Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chief and Super Bowl-winning quarterback has agreed to a 10-year extension deal which is estimated to be worth more than $400 million. Should the deal eclipse $500M, it would be the biggest deal in sports history.

ESPN and NFL revealed that Mahomes led the Chiefs to their first super victory in 50 years. With this new deal, there is no doubt that he would join the league of highest-paid players in the National Football League. According to the NFL, the estimated worth of the deal is $450 million, but this could increase to $503 million.

Patrick Mahomes hails from Texas. Before the deal, he was projected to earn an estimated value of $2.7 million this year, heading into the fourth of the five-year rookie deal he signed with the Chiefs in 2017.

The news on the latest deal has triggered a lot of comments and questions. However, Steinberg Sports & Entertainment representing Mahomes is yet to give any response to this.

The truth remains that if Mahomes' payment should be more than $500 million, it would be the highest contract in the history of sports. Forbes revealed that the deal would eclipse Boxer Floyd Mayweather who also recently agreed to a fight deal with Showtime estimated at $450 million. The deal might also eclipse Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout's last year deal worth more than $400 million.
