President Tinubu Suspends Central Bank Governor Emefiele and Sends Shockwaves Across the Nation

In a breaking development, Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu has taken decisive action by suspending Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, effective immediately.

As a result of the suspension, Mr. Emefiele has been instructed to hand over the responsibilities of his office to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate). The Deputy Governor will serve as the acting Central Bank Governor during the investigation and the implementation of the proposed reforms.
