Rihanna's Net worth and businesses

Rihanna is currently the highest-paid female musician in the world. She secured the position of the richest musician on the 2019 Forbes list. It is highly speculated that this Barbados beauty is well on her way to being a billionaire within the next ten years. Her career began at the age of 16 while recording for record producer Evan Rogers.

She released her first studio album "Music of the Sun" in 2005. The album reached the top ten of the Billboard 200 chart. The 2013 Diamonds World Tour was her highest-earning tour where she earned $140 million, which made it one of the prime tours of that year. Rihanna has sold more than 60 million albums and 216 million digital tracks with eight top chart-topping albums under her belt. She is also a part-owner of Tidal, so she makes money from both streaming and Tech.

In 2017, within the first few weeks after a successful launch, Fenty Beauty made $100 million and a total of $570 million within the first 15 months. Fenty Beauty launch created a massive buzz for weeks by offering 40 shades of foundation which set her apart from other competitors who offered only limited foundation hues. The Fenty Beauty brand was bought by billionaire Bernard Arnault, the Chief Executive of LMVH, the company that owns Louis Vuitton.

Nevertheless, She still owns a 49.99%  stake in her brand. Rihanna also created a sub-company with French luxury brand LMVH that owns half of the company. This company handles all luxury fashion aspects of Rihanna's business. Even as a partial owner, Rihanna is generating millions in profit. Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty is the first black woman to head a house under the LMVH brand when it launched in spring 2019, marking LMVH's first new house in 30 years.

The fashion house shares the same ideal with Fenty Beauty with various sizes ranging up to the U.S 14. She took a step further in business and created a lingerie line "Savage X Fenty" which has an annual revenue of $150 million. Also, she launched Fenty Skin which offers skincare products and caters to skincare.

Rihanna like many celebrities earns loads of money from high-end endorsement contracts. The companies she has promoted include Balmain, Armani, Mac, and One River Island. In 2014, she signed a $1million deal to work as the creative director of Puma. This move boosted her bank account and Puma's sales by 16 percent, a win-win situation for both parties. Rihanna still works as Puma's global ambassador under a reported 7 figure deal.

Apart from music and fashion, Rihanna has also acted in various shows and movies like "Valerian and the city of a Thousand Planets", " Bates Motel", and "Ocean 8". She also invests in real estate, where she buys properties and turns them over for good profits after some time. Rihanna's vocal talent may have been responsible for pushing her from a Barbadian girl to the peak of stardom.

But her business sense has helped her carve a $600million net worth. She has earned the respect and admiration of people globally through her donations to worthy causes like scholarships for needy children and COVID19 assistance for marginalized communities.

According to the Forbes list, Rihanna's current net worth is 600 million dollars. For the first time in 2020, she made it to the Forbes list of the richest self-made women, earning 33rd place on the list. She has joined the many celebrities turned entrepreneurs like Jessica Alba with her Honest brand and Gywneth Paltrow with Goop.
