Updates on Omicron Covid variant... this is what we know

A while ago, a new Covid-19 variant was isolated and confirmed in South Africa, this means that the world may be facing another hit back as a result of an ongoing covid-19 pandemic.

So far, this is what we know about the Omicron coronavirus variant.

·      455 hospital admission in Tshawane metropolitan area in the past 2 weeks.

·      Out of the people hospitalized, 87% unvaccinated, 13 % Vaccinated

·      Health Dept:  Very few vaccinated people are testing positive.

 Considering the key discovery about the Omicron variant that is listed above, this may mean that things may not get as bad as presumed.  

In other news, Regeneron reports that its Antibody cocktail may be less effective against the Omicron coronavirus variant.
