Wema Bank of Nigeria has a new CEO and his name is Moruf Oseni

Wema Bank has announced the appointment of Mr. Moruf Oseni as the new Managing Director/CEO, effective from April 1, 2023. Oseni, who has been serving in an acting capacity since January 1, 2023, takes over from Ademola Adebise, following approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). With over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, including more than 16 years at senior management levels, Oseni has a wealth of knowledge to lead Wema Bank to greater heights as it continues to evolve into a financial powerhouse. Alongside Oseni's appointment, the CBN has also approved the appointments of Wole Akinleye as Deputy Managing Director and Tunde Mabawonku as Executive Director, in a move expected to drive the bank's transformation and growth through technology and innovation.
