A transaction multiple is a financial metric used to value a company in a buyout scenario. It is used as part of a comparable companies analysis. These multiples include Enterprise Value/Sales, Enterprise Value/EBITDA, and Earnings/Earnings Per Share. Sometimes Transaction Value is used to mean Enterprise Value in a transaction as it represents the total buyout price of the company during the transaction.
