Wizkid Cancels Tour That Could Net Him Millions: Possible Ticket Sales Issue?

Nigerian artist Wizkid has canceled his North American tour, which was set to begin on March 3, due to unforeseen circumstances. The tour, which was in support of his album More Love, Less Ego, was scheduled to conclude on May 28 in Miami.

In a statement shared on Twitter, Wizkid announced that the tour has been postponed until Fall 2023, and all previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new venues on the revised dates. At the time of publication, the replacement dates and locations have not yet been confirmed.

In addition to the canceled tour, Wizkid is also set to perform at Afro Nation, the world's largest Afrobeats music festival, in Miami in May. Other artists expected to perform at the two-day festival include Burna Boy, Rema, Asake, Beenie Man, CKay, BNXN, Dadju, Franglish, Black Sherif, Nelson Freitas, Gyakie, and Nissi.

Wizkid's album More Love, Less Ego, released in November, has been a major success, with four tracks from the album ranking on Billboard's Hot Trending Singles list. This includes his hit single "2 Sugar" featuring Ayra Starr, which reached the top spot. As of now, fans can look forward to Wizkid's postponed tour in Fall 2023, and details regarding the new tour dates will be announced in the future.
