Development Bank of Nigeria to Train 200 Female Entrepreneurs

The Grand Africa Initiative (GAIN) and the Development Bank of Nigeria Plc (DBN) have announced the commencement of the second edition of the two firms collaborating together to teach 200 young Nigerian women in the "GAIN Entrepreneurship Masterclass for Women (Nigeria)."

The program, which is set to begin in July, was created to give female entrepreneurs from around the country the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills they need to start and expand their firms in order to create wealth and employment.

The course would include topics such as branding, ideation, legal, marketing, communication, accounting, modeling, taxation, team development, structure, and so on.

The Managing Director of DBN, Dr. Tony Okpanachi, described the importance of the Women Entrepreneurship Masterclass as follows:

"We are excited about this initiative, which speaks to our mandate of providing sustainable funding, building capacity of Nigerian MSMEs, and providing credit guarantee."

"The GAIN initiative has become critical in reaching as many women as possible through the use of technology and the promotion of gender equality. We believe that by the end of this exercise, more empowered women will be creating chances for long-term social and economic growth."

Mr Jerry Momoh, GAIN's Programmes, and Partnership Lead, commented, "We are delighted to have the support of DBN as we continue to empower women to build sustainable businesses."
