Giannis Antetokounmpo is a Greek professional basketball player. He first played professionally in Greece until he was drafted #15 by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2013 NBA Draft, and has since played for the team to date. In his rookie season with the Bucks, he was named All-Rookie Second Team, earning his nickname, “The Greek Freak.” In the Eastern Conference of 2015, Giannis was named the Player of the Week. He was a participant in the BBVA Rising Stars contest in 2014 and 2015, the 2015 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, and the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend Skills Challenge contest.

The NBA superstar, who is also one of the highest-paid players currently have a net worth of $60 million, now $70 million as of November 2021,  an amount that is probably unmatchable with that of other NBA superstars like Curry or Lebron. He also has multiple income streams that support his NBA salary.

The current MVP will be eligible for a multi-million-dollar contract in 2021. The contract is said to be worth $247 million which will be the largest contract in the league history. The “Greek Freak” currently earns $25 million in salary and will probably earn $28 million by the next season. Since the start of his NBA career in 2013, Giannis has earned more than $150 million both from his NBA salary and endorsement deals.

In September 2016, he signed a four-year contract with the Bucks worth $100 million “bucks.” In November 2017, he entered an endorsement contract with Nike. Within a year, (June 2017 and June 2018) Giannis earned a total of $35 million from his salary and endorsements. Over the next 12 months, he earned $43 million.

From his shoe deal with Nike, Giannis initially started out with a $200k yearly contract.
