Evacuation flights for Nigerians caught in the Russia-Ukraine war have resumed

The Nigerian government has stated that Nigerian nationals will be evacuated from Ukraine again today, with a flight from Warsaw, Poland carrying 122 people.The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is having an impact on individuals all around the world as they flee the country. There were around 14,000 Nigerian nationals in Ukraine, according to reports. Many people have been evacuated, and though many were unsure if they will ever return home to their families in Nigeria, a light at the end of the tunnel seems to be shinning again. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this on Thursday evening in a statement.Since the war began, 1076 Nigerians have been evacuated from eastern Europe, according to the report.The Federal Government (FG) desires to inform Nigerians that evacuation drills would continue with a second flight from Warsaw, Poland, consisting of 122 people and a baby.The flight is scheduled to arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on Friday, March 11th, 2022 at 12:40 a.m., ...
