List of Nigerian Billionaires in Dollars

Despite the global economic meltdown, Nigeria has delivered incredible dollar-digit fortunes this year.

Despite the economic downturn, these men have effectively managed to keep their money growing.

Some people have stayed on the list, while others, like Folorunso Alakija, have dropped off.

Let’s look at the dollar billionaires in 2022:

Aliko Dangote

For the 11th year in a row, Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote has topped Forbes magazine's list of Africa's wealthiest people for the year 2022.

Dangote's fortune has risen from $12.1 billion to an estimated $13.9 billion in the last year.

The boost was attributable to a 30% increase in the stock price of Dangote Cement, his most valuable asset, according to Forbes.

Dangote Group, the commercial enterprise he started more than three decades ago, is one of Nigeria's largest private-sector employers and the most valuable company in West Africa.

Apart from Nigeria, Dangote has operations in Zambia, Tanzania, Togo, South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal, Ethiopia, and the Benin Republic.
